The gloriously peaceful Devon yurt site is located at Borough farm which is situated on the edge of the Tamar valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty, in the south west of England. Positioned sweetly on the Devon side in a high position between Bodmin moor and Dartmoor, and being just a few minutes from Cornwall, makes access to the top beauty spots in both counties completely effortless.
The family-run Borough farm has been going for nearly ten years, and during that time, they have successfully restored the farm house and barns and created vegetable gardens and ponds as well as planting numerous trees and stocking the fields with hugely adorable Devon Longwool sheep, ponies and chickens.
During the summer of 2006 the concept of hosting yurting holidays at Borough was formed, the first yurt, Great Links, was hand crafted locally over the winter months, using quality coppiced ash from Dartmoor. The first summer season was so successful that they ordered another yurt – Little Links, which was built over the following winter. Little Links is smaller and more romantic in feel, perfect for couples and younger families alike. Also Little Links is nearer to the farm stead for guests who are just venturing into the outdoors and for those who would find the remoteness of Great Links too great a step to take initially.
Whichever of the two yurts you opt for, with top chilling features such as a private bath tent with roll-top bath overlooking Dartmoor, you cannot fail to fall into a dreamy state of love with the overall details put into this lovely Devonshire site.
