festivals
Aaah. At Tent HQ we love, love, LOVE festivals. In between the camping trips, we do try and fit in as many festies as poss and have been updating OUR BLOG with news on the hottest festies as we go along.

Still yearning for more? If you want to sort the Bestivals from the Restivals, then head straight for The Cool Camping Guide to Festivals. Discover our top 50 favourite festivals across the UK and Europe. Each review is illustrated with colourful photos and contains heaps of practical info to set you on your merry way. You'll also find insights from some of the greatest characters on the scene – including one of the UK’s oldest hippies; Glastonbury's first lady, Emily Eavis, and Franz Ferdinand (who'll be playing at most festivals near you this summer).

There’s so much to choose from, whatever your hedonistic bent and whatever budget. If you’re the type who gets your rocks off with a good read, then the Hay Literary Festival is for you. If eating is your seductive mistress then the Abergavenny Food Festival in Wales is a must-do. If you fancy glugging down some beers before going mental in a mosh rock pit, then Reading has your name all over it. For all music fans, the choice is endless. The British are lucky to have a multitude of events taking place the length and breadth of this country that suit all tastes and ages. Then there are our ten selections of festivals that take place overseas; combining a festival with a summer break – it’s the new rock’n’roll.
If only we could attend them all! We'll be trying our level best to fit in as many as possible while criss-crossing the British Isles to research and update the Cool Camping books. But between us, we will be reporting back with news of the best – and the worst – of festival season 2010. So keep your eyes peeled for news, gossip and the behind-the-scenes glamour via THIS BLOG – and dear campers, we'll be braving the chilly Autumnal winds to do all this, just for you!
See you in the pit...
